Hemington Values

Hemington School Values

Our school motto is at the core of everything we do.

Aspire, Believe, Achieve.

This underpins our teaching and learning and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy, independent and successful citizens. Our children and staff created a vision statement and ethos together  to ensure it is purposeful and we live it everyday!

Our Vision is ‘to create a happy, caring, inclusive environment which enables the development of confident, independent learners who have the opportunity to achieve their potential and have ambitions for their future’

To ensure we are living out our motto and vision we have decided as a community to encourage everyone to be guided by three expectations of respect, responsibility and readiness (The Hemington 3R’s). These will guide what we do in the classroom as a learner and how we behave.
They are: Respect, Responsibility and Readiness

All the children and staff of Hemington Primary School worked together to assemble what we think each of these expectations involves. The results are as follows:
Respect
Be helpful.
Be inclusive.
Always be kind.
Listen.
Share.
Be tolerant – accept others’ thoughts, beliefs and ideas.
Be honest.
Responsibility
Try your best – go over and above!
Look after each other.
Care for each other, the school and the environment.
Manners – be polite.
Apologise when you need to.
Be truthful.
Be fair.
Pay attention – you might just learn the most amazing fact!
Readiness
Listen and be ready to learn.
Be ready to help.
Work as a team – help each other.
Come into school ready for a new day of learning.
