Hemington Primary is a proud "no mobile phone" school. We are dedicated to creating a focused, distraction-free environment that maximises learning and protects the mental health, well-being, and safety of all our pupils.

To ensure our classrooms and social spaces remain safe, inclusive, and highly productive environments, mobile phones and personal smart devices (including smartwatches with communication features) are not permitted to be used or visible during the school day.

• Our Policy: From the moment pupils enter the school gates until the end of the final bell, all mobile devices must be switched off and stored securely away in the locked box in the school office.
• Safety & Focus: By removing the distraction of social media and text alerts, we foster better face-to-face social interactions, reduce online peer friction, and maintain an uninterrupted focus on academic excellence.
• Emergency Contact: We understand that parents may wish for children to carry a phone for safety on their journey to and from school. While on site, however, any urgent communication between parents and pupils must go directly through the main School Office.​
